GAME TESTS & FIELD TRIALS
Last year´s even results of 2nd prizes turned into 1st
prizes this year.
Ingela who, due to nerves, never had been out officially did
her debut at the biggest event of the year - the Swedish
Flatcoated Retriever Championships (over 300 contestants) with
her young Danne, and did not only work her way to the finals but
was outstanding in the finalwork and was total runner up in
Youngsterclass. 6 year old Ruka and handler Veijo was in the
Eliteclass-final at the Finnish Championship for the 5th year in
a row. The "missing" year he was actually in the
Youngsterclass-final ;-) Yxi and Fredrik was, after their
time-out in the best of shape and got 2x 1st prize Openclass and
1st prize Eliteclass at 3 starts.
"Gillette-litter"
The dogs in this litter have at 6
years of age together gained not less than 33x 1st prizes
with 14x Best-Dog-Awards at official game tests and field trials!
Ruka and Veijo
were one of 2 representatives for the kennel at the Finnish
FCR-Championship, and was once again in top. Eliteclassfinal
every year since the age of 2. During the year they got 4x 1st
prizes in eliteclass at cold game tests and have now a total of
14x 1 st prizes in Eliteclass. The peak of the year was when
Ruka became first Flatcoat ever in Finland to get a 1st prize at
field trial. Veijo had thoughts to retire Ruka but as soon
as early spring he noted that at 6 years old, the dog was better
than ever. They don´t have many records to beat now but his
mother was at her peak when she was 8....

Tuure and Ville once again got a 2nd
prize in Eliteclass at cold game test. I really don´t know how
many 2nd prizes this good-working couple have to this day - it
just seems they are not supposed to get anything else....

Yxi and Fredrik did a great comeback
in the field. After having been back in the kennel and 2 starts
resulting in a 2nd prize Openclass in Sweden and one dito in
Norway, Fredrik asked: "Shall I give it up or continue?" He
continued and at 3 starts they only got 1st prizes. 2 times in
Open - qualifying for Elite - and 1 time in Elite.

"Black-litter"
Scott started off the season with a 1st prize in
Openclass. In the late season they were in a real rollercoaster
prize-wise. Very good work resulted a bit unfortunate with a 2nd
prize. At the Kennel-Championship they did an even great job and
was up to the end side-by-side with halfbrother Ruka from
Finland. We could all see that both Ola and Scott in many
parts are ready for the highest class.

"Procter &
Gamble-litter"
Danne and Ingela are perhaps the brightest shining
duo of the year. They have succeeded in all they have sunked
their teeth into and they have been an inspiration to all of us.
Some unofficial tests both resulting in 1st prizes made Ingela
forget her nerves and signed up for the biggest event of them
all - Swedish FCR-Championship. As the kennel´s only
representative among 300 other contestants, they did not only
make the finals but was in the finalwork brilliant and was the
only team getting 20/20 from the judges. They ended up at the
same score as the winner of the big Youngsterclass. At the
following 2 official cold game tests they took home 2x 1st
prizes Beginnersclass and one time as best youngsterdog. Ingela
has been an inspiration to us all and many more, with her humble
and generous mind.

SHOWS
Viwi went with handler Sara at some shows with very good
results and Yessie we only showed 1 time at a show of 120
Flatcoats of which she ended up winner of the huntingclass
and a placing in Best Bitch. Lotus was BOB-puppy at the
Västkustvalpen-special puppyshow. Maybe we have to give the
shows a better chans next year?
BLOODTRACKING
A new Champion and great reports
from practical work.
Danne and Ingela started off late 2006 with a
qualifying track and 1x 1st prize in Openclass. They then took
some time off from the tracking and did not continue until late
this year with another 1st prize in Open and then the
Championqualifying track. Champion with the least amount of
tracks needed.

The huntingpart is otherwise their specialty. Despite this they

Noone in the highest classes anymore but it
seems Mille and Linda can take on Tuva´s -

SLCh SVCh Gilliam´s Gold Cool Wave - successes in the future. Alex
who last year took his title LpII got stuck on the new fling
Rally-obedience and had some success.
Mille and Linda
had a few mountains to climb together. But
when they started climbing there was no stopping them. I am sure
they will reach the top of the mountain. We have great
expectaions for next year.

are our new rally-obedience-duo.
This new form of obedience competition has proven to be their
thing as we could see from the results.

Yessie had
her second litter in March and Keno got her firstborn and only
pup in October. Our Russian "grand-children" have had lots of
success with both BOB and BOS and other classwinners at a
retrieverspecialty. They have also been Crufts-qualified. We
extended our family to across the Atlantic with sin Gilliam´s Gold No Ordinary
Cowboy who now lives in Colorado. Weekly training both spring
and fall. Our annual Springtrainingdays with themenight and
Kennel Championship ofcourse have also been arranged and also
some other activities.
Nissedaughter Gozzi - SJCh Smålandsskogens Godzilla -
participated at both the Basset Championship and Smallbreed
Championship but was unfortunately in heat at the Breed
Championship. What a thing - to have qualified for all 3
Championships.
Congratulations to you all for all of your successes throughout
the year -
Now it´s full speed ahead for new challenges 2008....
